And, Now. Please Welcome...
Mr. Transactional
By Justin T. Carreño
As great as it would be to have the first woman and black woman
President, we should not vote for a candidate based on their identity,
rather it should be based on who is best qualified. The following
spells out some of the things going on with the
candidates.
If people support Trump, they are making so many negotiations --
everyone else lies and only Trump tells the truth. The reality is he's
had three wives and has cheated on every one of them, including with a
porn star he paid hush money to keep quiet about cheating with her.
His first wife had to have a gag order to have the divorce finalized,
and when she broke the gag order she said she was physically and
sexually assaulted by Trump. Additionally, he's been found twice
liable for defamation and sexual assault in civil court, and bragged
about sexually assaulting women. If a man can't be faithful to his
wife, how is supposed to be faithful to the country?
People who support Trump have to say those things aren't deal
breakers for me. In his business practices, he's filed bankruptcy
multiple times. He was found to have racist business practices back
into the 90s, so this wasn't political. He had fraudulent Trump
University, and has been convicted of multiple felony counts for
stole from his own charity, which was dedicated to helping children
with cancer.
People have to ignore that military leaders have warned us that Trump
is a threat to the United States. Our military leaders do not get
political, so if they are giving warnings, then this is something to
take extremely seriously.
He rambles incoherently at his rallies about what is worse if you're
drowning -- a shark attack or getting electrocuted by a battery. He
talked about how impressed he was about Arnold Palmer's manhood. At
one of his Town Halls he stopped taking questions to sway to random
music for about 40 minutes. He does publicity stunts like pretending
to work at McDonald's to show he's a man of the people, while
simultaneously refusing to answer what he would do to increase
the minimum wage.
So you can say you think his economic policies are going to be better
for me, and that's why I'm going to ignore all these things -- I'll
ignore his lack of character because he'll be better for the economy.
But then you have to believe the experts on the economy are wrong, and
only Trump is right...again. The experts say Trump's plan is going to
cost $5.8 trillion in our national debt, compared to Harris' plan,
which is only going to cost $1.2 trillion. The more the government
spends, the greater the inflation. You have to ignore that the experts
say that Trump's plan is going to cost the average American family an
additional $4k-$6k/year and raise the cost of living.
Harris has plans to build an economy for the middle class, including
tax cuts for the middle class, family tax credit, and small business
tax credits. She has a plan to reduce home-buying costs by building
more homes and providing down payment assistance. Trump's plan is to
give tax credits to the rich, applying trickle-down economic theory,
which we now know creates a greater wealth gap, holding the wealth at
the top one percent. Additionally, it will decrease GDP and wages, and
it does not reduce costs. Strengthening the middle class -- the
largest class population -- will increase the GDP and wages, and
reduce costs.
You have to believe every expert is wrong -- experts on climate
change, experts on science, experts on medicine, experts on
healthcare, experts on the economy, experts on education. They are all
wrong and only Trump is right. You have to negotiate so much away to
vote for him, so it doesn't come down to one lie, rather all his
lies...
And you might say, I don't care about his indiscretions and his
illegal dealings. But character is destiny. As the President of the
United States, you don't know what's coming next. The past is no
predictor of the future. You have no idea what the next problem will
be that you have to deal with on a small or large scale -- like
COVID. You want someone who has character, who has empathy, who has
willingness to learn and understand. And you want someone who is
ethical when it comes to making difficult decisions. When that tough
time comes to make a decision Trump is only going to listen to
himself, and we've seen how that plays out. You don't want someone
like that dealing with uncertainty. And as bad as it is that he has a
lack of ethics, lack of character, and lack of honesty, he makes no
effort to learn and understand. He's one of the few people on the
planet who gets dumber in front of our face every single day.
The truth is Trump is running an explicit overt racist, misogynistic,
bigoted, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, divisive, bitter
campaign. In fact his campaign is endorsed by the KKK. He enables
people with hate in their hearts to have a voice. If he gets
re-elected, I will continue to commit to advocating, defending, and
protecting my friends, family, and marginalized communities who don't
look like me because Trump and his supporters hate 75% of
Americans. They claim to love America, but hate 75% of the people who
live in the U.S. They stand for hate -- hate, control, punishment,
vengeance, retribution, projection.
Trump has repeatedly shown that his only interest is himself, and he's
not afraid to use people to promote himself. Voting for any candidate
other than Kamala Harris, would be an absolute, explicit demonstration
of economic, white, male, and straight privilege. Voting for Harris is
voting for someone who’s at least going to protect the rights of
marginalized communities and insures the United States remains a
democratically governed Constitutional Republic, otherwise it's a vote
to usher in theocratic, fascist authoritarianism to the detriment of
every person In the U.S. who isn’t a straight, white male.
I agree with some of what Trump says -- improving
transportation and energy infrastructure, improving the number and
quality of jobs for all, improving the lives of the poor and working
class, reforming healthcare to protect every American, and focusing on
homeland defense. These were issues he campaigned on during his first
presidency and never followed through on. Does he have a policy or
plan in place on how to pursue these things now? Probably not.
Even if he's able to make these things real, it doesn't change the
fact that he's a tactless, professionally and cognitively immature,
inarticulate, delusional, undiplomatic, pathological narcissist
sociopath who used the presidency for what is called "supply" that
narcissists use to stroke their ego. His ego increased more and more
as he gained more control -- we saw this with how many drones he
launched and every time he pardoned a prisoner. He loves "playing
God." He is willing to exploit Americans' fear and problems for his
own profit, doesn't understand or know how to conduct international
affairs and foreign policy, he's contradictory, he lies, he's an
anti-intellectual, has financial and personal conflicts of interest
that can influence national decision-making, ignorant on how
government operates, indecisive, values ego over truth, has
compromised ethics, values profit over morals, lacks ideology, is
unable and unwilling to plan, think, and strategize before making
decisions, focuses on non-issues, believes in torture and plundering,
and does not accept, address, and defend civil rights, environmental,
and social injustice issues.
We've also watched him mock a disabled reporter, and a person who said
he can grab women without asking, a person who made fun of a stutter,
a person who mocked an assassination attempt of a person getting
bludgeoned with a hammer, a person who lied about a rigged and stolen
election, a person who encouraged an insurrection, a person who has
been convicted of sexual assault, a person who has been irresponsible
with classified information, a person who openly disregards the
Constitution, a person who mocks war veterans, a person who talks like
a five-year old, a person who exploits the ignorant and weak, a person
who has been convicted on thirty-four counts of defrauding the US and
conspiracy against the rights of citizens is not a person fit for the
presidency.
