The Other Library
Room No. 315 (otherwise known as the Main Reading Room) of the main branch of the New York Public Library, the nation's second-largest library (in the number of books in possession) after the Library of Congress, the world's largest library. (The British Library is an also-ran for this title. But because the BritLib only collects British/Commonwealth published materials -- and those donated to it -- it lags well behind the Library of Congress, which collects everything).
