Poe-Boy
Ed Pettit, English professor at LaSalle University, delivered brilliant insight in the world of Philadelphia Gothic literature, including the works of Edgar Allan Poe, on 19 February at the Library Company, Philadelphia. Poe, who spent much of his most creative period in Philadelphia, was born 200 years ago this year. Pettit's lecture was held in conjunction with the Library Company's exhibition, 'Philadelphia Gothic: Murders, Mysteries, Monsters, and Mayhem Inspire American Literature, 1798-1854.'
