Washington International Horse Show

Washington Show Set for October

I am in charge of finding donors for this year's 50th Anniversary of the Washington International Horse Show, to be held at the Verizon Center in Washington 21-26 October. The WIHS is among the most elite horse shows in the United States, and brings in the top horse and rider combinations in the country, as well as the most affluent families of our country.

Our horse show is non profit and proceeds are donated to local and national charities, including our chief charity, Autism Speaks, and others such as Canine Companions, Therapeutic Riding and Recreation Center, The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, and the Washington Humane Society. All donations are tax deductible.

Donor opportunities are superb. I was wondering if you would be interested in gaining exposure by donating an item to our Silent Auction which is held throughout the horse show. If this would be of interest to you, please contact me for all necessary information.

This would be a great opportunity to get your product out to the elite horse people from all around the world and it would also be a great advertising opportunity! We give out 400 exhibitor bags to our competitors. Included in the bags are promotional or sample items, such as horse treats, pens, shoe shiners, coupons, trinkets or any sample items.

There is vendor space, where you can sell and advertise your products, and program advertising space available, as well. Visit our website at www.wihs.org for details. We also have tailored monetary sponsorships with VIP privileges such as VIP parties with food and wine and VIP seating, ringwall banners, jumbotron spots, signage around the horse show, etc.

We are also looking for donations of prizes for our Barn Night competition, involving contests for each barn that comes to the show. Last year we had about 30 to 40 clubs/barns/groups/organizations come with up to 100 people per group. Great exposure opportunities!
