Vernissage @ Basekamp
Philadelphia:-- Daniele Easton, former French consul in Philadelphia, suggested that the work of Didier Clain would be interesting, and would I be interested in attending an opening show of some of his work (see photo), held last night at Basekamp, a gallery at 723 Chestnut Street.
Clain, a graduate of the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts in St.-Etienne, France, will be soon be a master's graduate at the Pennylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA).
Besides Easton, also attending were Michael E. Scullin, France's new honorary consul here; and Daniel Tremblay, director of public relations for Canada's consulate in Philadelphia.
