Inquirer Gores Sacred Cows
8 March 2007
Sir:--
Your coverage of student-on-teacher violence in Philadelphia schools is a breath of fresh air. After years of hagiographic reporting under the old Knight-Ridder outfit, wherein the Vallas Administration and putative Reform Commission were Inquirer sacred cows, it's refreshing to see that the paper's local ownership is now free to explore this critical issue. Violence in schools isn't new. Your coverage is.
