In the Wake of Market Street Building Collapse...

... Another Disaster in Waiting
You’d think they could at least build a frame under the marquee if there’s any question at all.

Thanks for your generous comments. It almost feels like piling on to attack these guys, but it’s so obviously necessary, sad to say.

Subject: Disaster in Waiting

Your article today got me thinking of that other disaster in waiting, the rotting, rusting marquee overhang at the Eric theatre at 19th and Chestnut. I suspect that it could fall from its own weight. Especially from the added weight from rain or snow. Anyway, I've mentioned this to Councilman Clark on several occasions. The marquee is still there. Inspected? Your article today was spot on. Love it when the Inky kicks some ass. Reminds me of the old days. Richard CARRENO.
